Refund & returns policy
Refunds & returns
How refunds work for the digital ebooks, templates and toolkits in the Altiora Library.
Last updated: 21 October 2026
1. Who this applies to
This policy applies to digital products (ebooks, playbooks, templates, toolkits and bundles) bought from the Altiora Library at altiorawealth.co.za, sold by Altiora Business Management ("Altiora", "we"). Monthly retainers are covered by our Retainer Terms.
2. Digital products and the cooling-off period
Our products are digital files delivered by download link immediately after payment. Section 42 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA) gives a 7-day cooling-off right for many online purchases, but section 44 read with section 42(2) excludes goods that, by their nature, cannot be returned, including software and digital content that has been downloaded or accessed.
Because a download cannot be "returned", purchases are non-refundable once a download link has been used or the file has been accessed. You confirm that you understand and agree to this at checkout before you pay. If you have not yet opened any download link, contact us within 7 days of purchase and we will cancel and refund the order in full.
3. Faulty, corrupt or incorrect files
If a file is corrupt, will not open, is incomplete, or is not the product you ordered, tell us within 30 days of purchase. We will first send a working replacement or a fresh download link. If we cannot fix the problem, we will refund the price of the affected product within 7 days of confirming that it cannot be fixed. This is in line with your right under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) to goods of good quality that match their description.
4. Duplicate or incorrect charges
If you were charged twice for the same order, or charged an amount different from the checkout total, we will refund the duplicate or excess amount in full once we have verified it with PayFast.
5. What is not a ground for a refund
- Change of mind after a file has been downloaded or accessed.
- Buying a product you already own, unless reported before you open the new download link.
- The content not suiting your particular business, where the product matches its description. Product pages show what is inside, page previews and the format before you buy.
6. How to request a refund or replacement
Email hello@altiorawealth.co.za with your order reference (it starts with "ALT-" and appears on your PayFast receipt and download email), the email address used at checkout, and a short description of the problem (a screenshot helps).
We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and give you a decision within 14 days.
7. How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are paid back to the original payment method through PayFast. Depending on your bank or payment method, it can take a further 5 to 10 business days to reflect. When a refund is issued, the licence for the refunded product ends and the download links are deactivated.
8. Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under the CPA or ECTA that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are unhappy with how we handle a request, you may contact the National Consumer Commission (thencc.org.za) or the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (cgso.org.za).
